NTT-Faculty Working Group (2007)

Charge: Gather information on the numbers and roles of non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty in the various Schools. Keeping in mind what are often very different needs from school to school, examine existing university titles, policies, and procedures for the hiring, promotion, and retention of these faculty. Speak with small groups of non-tenure-track faculty from across the campus in an effort to learn whether there are difficulties that the University might wish to address. Formulate a set of recommendations geared towards building a scholarly and pedagogical environment that is as productive as possible for our non-tenure-track faculty and, thus, in the best interests of the University and its undergraduates.
